Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

Pursuant to discussions with members of your staff, Florida Power Corporation wishes to clari fy our commitment contained in our December 15, 1980, letter to you.

Our clarification addresses Item II.F.1 of NUREG-0737.

Florida Power Corporation remains committed to install by January 1, 1982, the following instrumentation:

Noble gas effluent monitors Iodine gaseous effluent monitors Containment high-range radiation monitors Containment pressure monitors Containmcnt water level monitors Containment hydrogen monitors.

No deviation from your requirements are expected at this time.

Although our final design details are presently not completed, a submittal describing the final design details of this monitoring instrumentation will be made no later than October 30, 1981.
