Issuance of New NRC Personnel Identification Badges
/
As of Novuber 1,1980, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be issuing new laminated photo-identification badges to all NRC personnel.
The employee's name, color photograph, badge numcer and NRC office location appear on the front side of the badge, with the employee's signature, date of birth, physical description and the facsimile signature of Raymond J. Brady, Director, Division of Security, appearing or; the reverse side.
A sample copy of the front and reverse side of the new photo-identification badge is shown in the attachment to this letter.
The purpose of the new badges is to provide positive identification of NRC personnel visiting licensed facilities and whose names are includec in the-access authoritation lists provided by NRC Region I.
During the interim period from Novemcer 1,1980 through November 30, 1980, NRC personnel may utilite either the new or the old picture badges.
- However, after Novemcer 30, 1980, all NRC personnel will present the newly-issued badges for identification when visiting licensed facilities.
