This report covers the operation of the Yankee Atomic Electric During the period the plant load varied between 153.0 MWe and 150.0 MWe as the circulating water temperature fluctuated between 60 F and 63 F.
Two scheduled plant shutdowns occurred during the report period, both for the purpose of control rod drop time testing.
The first shutdown occurred on September 9 at 05h5 hours. Following coupletion of the testing the turbine generator was phased to the line at 103h hours and the plant was loaded to 498 MWt at 1150 hours0.0133 days
0.319 hours
0.0019 weeks
4.37575e-4 months
that date.
The second shutdown occurred on September 30, at 05h5 hours.
Following completion of the testing the turbine generator was phased to the line at 1053 hours0.0122 days
0.293 hours
0.00174 weeks
4.006665e-4 months
and the plant was loaded to h98 MWt at 1200 hours0.0139 days
0.333 hours
0.00198 weeks
4.566e-4 months
that date.
The second, Core X vapor container air leakage surveillance period was tenninated on September 15 and the third such period commenced on September 16, 1972. Leakage during the entire report period was normal.
Plant Abnormal Occurrences There were no plant abnormal occurrences during tre report period.
Plant Load Reductions There were no plant load reductions during the report period.
