Dear Mr. Murphy:
This letter refers to the apparent infraction in the sub-j ject inspection report which states:
"As required by Sections 6.2.2.f and 6.4.2 of the Technical Specifications, a fire brigade of at least five qualified members shall be maintained onsite at all times.
Contrary to the above, personnel from the Operations Group who are not included on the Training Supervisor's " qualified" fire brigade roster are routinely assigned to perform the plant fire brigade functions."
j
Response
1.
Certain operations personnel were not on the qualified fire i
brigade roster that the inspector reviewed.
They had been previously qualified to perform fire brigade functions, but were removed from the roster as a result of missing a train-ing lecture.
2.
Action has been taken to ensure that each Operation shift has a sufficient number of qualified personnel listed on the roster to man the fire brigade.
