This refers to four request dated July 29, 1965, for AEC author-ization of Propued Change No. 66 in the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee reactor pursuant to the provisions of Section 50.59, 10 CFR 50 The proposed change would authorize installation of:
(1) a primary coolant sample line, motor operated valve, and sample return line to the low pressure surge tank, and (2) a flowmeter in the discharge line from the low pressure surge tank make-up pumps. This change would provide a more accurate method for determining the primary coolant composition and make-up requirements.
We have reviewed the proposed change and have found that it does not present significant hazards considerations not described or implicit in the hazards summary report, and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered.
A copy of our related safety evaluation is enclosed.
In view of the foregoing, pursuant to Section 50.59,10 CFR 50, l
Change No. 66 is hereby authorized as proposed.
