EMERGENCYOPERATINGPROCEDURE(EOP)INSPECTIONPROGRAM This is to advise you of a special inspection initiative that is being performed at operating reactors.
It will include an inspection to be performed at your Farley site.
The initiative is entitled the "EOP Inspection
. Program."
The purpose of-the inspection is to verify that the E0Ps are technically accurate; that specified actions can be meaningfully accomplished using existing equipment, controls, and instrumentation; and that the available procedures have the usability necessary to provide the operator with an effective operating tool.
-The inspection program is a team inspection.
The inspection team should I
include two or three reactor inspectors, a licensing examiner, a human factors specialist, and the Farley senior resident inspector (Mr. G. Maxwell).
The inspection is scheduled for March 5-16, 1990.
The team leader for this y
inspection will be Mr. L. Lawyer from Region 11.
Mr. Lawyer will contact members of your staff in the near future to discuss the details of the inspection.
