Immediately closed doors to reestablish containment as required in T.S. 3.7.C.1, replaced the solenoid.

Apgagnt Cause of Oce_urrence:

u Electric strike on door 236 failed allowing doors 235 and 236 to be opened simultaneou:1y. Failure was an'open solenoid coil.

Analysis of Occurrence.

There was no danger to the health or safety of the public, no release of activity, no damage to the plant or equipment, and no resulting significant chain of events.

Corrective Action

Solenoid replaced, successfully tested, and returned to service. This is considered a random failure and no further recurrence control is required.
