Prcoperational Security Program Revieu As part 'f the Region I preoperational phase inspection program of your fac<.lity, a team from our Physical Protection Section will visit the Shcreham Nuclear Power Statinn during the month of June 1981.
The team will meet with your security supervisory staff to discuss your proposed Security, Compensatory, and Training and Qualification Plans.
Further, your schedule for installation of equipment and implementation of controls, will be discussed.
It is our intention, through this visit, to familiarize our personnel with your site and to develop an understanding of the unique features that may exist in the' installed or proposed intrusion detection equipment and security systems. This early appraisal of your program should be mutually beneficial, will provide a data base to enable this office to track the status of the implementation of the security program, and will enable us to better prepare our staff ta perform the preoperational phase operating license review.
Mr. James Devlin, Chief of our Physical Protection Section, will contact the Shoreham site to make arrangements for the visit. We appreciate your cooperation with us.
