Dear Mr. Keppler:

In accordance with the provisions of reference 1, section 20.205 (b) (2), notification is forwarded that upon receipt of a package of relicactive naterial (spent fuel shipping cash containing two (2)
LACBWR irradiated fuel assemblies) monitoring performed at the plant site revealed the presence of removable radioactive contamination in excess of 0.01 microcuries (22,000 disintegrations per minute) per 100 square centimeters of package surfr.:e.
The shipping cask arrived at the site at 0420 on May 30, 1981.
The shipment had originated at the fuel storage facility of the General Electric Company at Morris, Illinois at 1930, May 29, 1981.
Monitoring was performed within the next thirty ininutes.
Telephone notification was provided to Mr. Robert Greger of your office at 0850 this dm te. The final delivering carrier was Tri-State Motor Transit Company and telephone notification to
