Proprietary Analysis for Beaver Valley Unit No. 1 Cycle 2 Rod Misalignment

Duquesne Light Company letter from J. J. Carey to Steven A. Varga dated April 8, 1981

Dear Mr. Varga:

The proprietary material transmitted by this letter supplements material transmitted previously from Dunn to Varga, March 13, 1981 on rod position indication specifications of the Beaver Valley Technical Specifications.

Further, Affidavit AW-76-8 submitted to justify material previously submitted is equally applicable to this material.

The affi-david sets forth the basis on which information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses, with specificity, the considerations listed in paragraph (b)(4) of Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations.

Accordingly, withholding the subject infor=ation from public dis-closure is requested in accordance with the previously submitted affidavit and application for withholding, AW-76-8, which was approved by the Commission on November 9, 1977, a copy of which is attached.

Correspondence with respect to this application for withholding or the accompanying affidavit should reference CAW-81-30, and should be addressed to Robert A. Wiesemann, Manager, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, P.O. Box 355, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15230.
