SCavanaugh This letter is sent to fomally acknowledge receipt of your letter of October 28, 1980, in which you requested that I reconsider issuance of Amendment Nos. 60, 55 and 32 to Facility License Nos. DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 respectively, for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant Units 1, 2 and 3.

These amendments were issued on March 17, 1980, and they authorize temporary storage of low-level radioactive wastes at the Brcuns Ferry site.

Your letter is being treatad as a request for action under 10 CFR 2.206.

The NRC staff is currently evaluating your request, and, as provided in 10 CFR 2.206, I will detemine within a reasonable time whether to deny your request or to grant it by issuing orders suspending the amendments.

Enclosed for your information is a copy of a notice that will be filed for publication with the Office of the Federal Register.
