Enclosed herewith are five (51 copies of Applicant's Amended Physical Security Plan, Revision 3, dated March 11, 1981, This Plan supersedes our submittal of September 11, 1979 (SNRC-432) and incorporates Company responses to the NRC Staff questions on the Applicant's Amended Physical Security Plan, Revision 2, addressed during a meeting held in August, 1980.

Please retain the ring binders, index tabs and Section 15,

" Attachments" that were transmitted to you with Revision 2 All material in Sections 1-14 of Revision 2 is obsolete and should be returned to the Long Island Lighting Company as noted in the enclosed return receipt letter.

As the information is proprietary in nature, the Company requests, pursuant to 10CFR2,790 and 9,5, that the information be accorded proprietary status and not placed in the Public Document Room.

J. P. NOVARRO, being duly sworn states that he is Project Manager of the Shoreham Project with Long Island Lighting Company; that he is authorized on the part of said Company to sign and file with the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission the foregoing Revision 3 to the Applicant's Amended Physical Security Plan, dated March 11, 1981 for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station Unit 1, Docket No. 50-322; Revision 3 was prepared under his supervision and direction; and that the statements contained therein are true and correct to the best of his knowledge, information and belief and applying to the NRC to have the Plan withheld from public disclosure.

Under 10 CFR 8 2.790 (d) the Plan contains " commercial or financial information" because it identifies detailed security measures for the physical protection of the Shoreham plant in which licensed special nuclear material will be possessed and used.

Therefore, the Company requests, pursuant to 10 CFR 5 2.790 (b) and 9.5 (a) (4) (i) , that the Plan be withheld from public disclosure.
