Dear Mr. Stolz:
This is in response to your letter dated April 6,1981 (Log No. 691) regarding our March 23, 1979 request for Technical Specification change to the containment isolation signals for the reactor coolant pump seal injection and seal return lines for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1.
Please be advised that inside the containment these lines are constructed to seismic category 1 requirements. These lines are also protected inside of containment from pipe whip damage.
