Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-639 is hereby amended to authorize the transfer and storage of the uranium waste cylinders in accordance with statements, representations and conditions specified in your application dated November 26, 1980. Accordingly, Item 9 of License No. SNM-639 is modified and License Condition No. 21 is added to read as follows:
"9.
The special nuclear material is for use in accordance with the statements, representations and conditions specified in the licensee's applications dated April 28 and May 21, 1969; November 5,1970; February 8, June 13, June 29, and August 13,1973; May 28,1974; February 11, 1975; August 12,1976; May 3, October 13, and November 17, 1978; June 2 and November 26, 1980."
"21. No individual container, as described in the licensee's application dated November 26, 1980, will be temporarily stored in the transfer canal for longer than two weeks."
All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
Based on our review of your application, we have concluded that the proposed activities can be performed without undue risk to the health and safety of the public and that the application fulfills the requirements of 10 CFR Section 70.23(a). We have also concluded that the issuance of this amendment is not a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment and that, pursuant to 10 CFR 51.5(d)(4), no environmental impact statement, negative declaration nor environmental appraisal need be prepared.
