DOCKET NOS. g 5 AND 50- M RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN 80-21 h

Dea r Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of November 10, 1980, transmitting IE Bulletin 80-21, Carolina Power & Light Company submits the following response for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant.

A thorough review of plant documentation and follow-up telephone conversations with valve vendors supplying valves used in safety-related systems has determined that valve parts cast by the flalcolm Foundry Company, Inc., are not in use at the Brunswick Plant.

We trust that this satisfies the request of IE Bulletin 80-21.

Yours very truly,
