This refers to your request dated August 30, 1963, requesting author-ization of Proposed Change No. 44 in the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-3 pursuant to the provisions of Section 50.59, iii 10 CFR 50.
This Proposed Change would provide for an increase in
- 7 the storage capacity of spent fuel assemblies by addition of a rack I
having space for the storage of 26 fuel assemblies.
h'c have reviewed the Proposed Change and have found that it does not

present significant hazards consideraticns not described or implicit in the hazards summary report, and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered.
A copy of our related hazards analysis is enclosed.

going, Proposed Change No. 44 is hereby authorized, pursuant to Section E
50.59,10 CFR 50, in accordance with the Yankee Atomic Electric Company's C
request dated August 30, 1963.
