This refers to your request, dated May 28, 1963, for AEC authorization of Proposed Change No. 35 in the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-3 pursuant to the provisions of Section 50.59, 10 CFR 50.
The Proposed Change would provide for replacement of the solenoid operated valve in the pressurizer spray system with a motor operated valve.
We have reviewed the Proposed Change and have found that it does not present significant hazards considerations not described or implicit in the hazards summary report, and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered. A copy of our related hazards analysis is enclosed, la view of the foregoing, Yankee Atomic Electric Company is hereby cuthorized, pursuant to Section 50.59, 10 CFR 50, to replace the scicncid cocrated valve in the pressurizer spray system with a noter opetated valve in accordance with the Company's request dated May 28, 19o3.
