NRC I S E BULLETIN 80-13 CRACKING IN CORE SPRAY SPARGERS
Dear Mr. Grier:
The Fit: Patrick Plant completed, as part of the ISI program reactor vessel component internal inspection, inspection of the Core Spray System as required by item 1 of the subj ect bulletin.
The examination was com-pleted utilizing remote underwater TV examination. While the TV system resolution could not always be maintained at 0.001 inches, this matter was discussed with Region I personnel and the actual resolution limits were found acceptable.
In addition, as part of NRC I 4 E Inspection 80-11, the inspector at the plant concurred that the actual resolution achieved was acceptable.
The inspection video tape was reviewed and evaluated by NDT Level III Visual Inspection personnel and found acceptable in that no cracks of the Core Spray Cooling System existed and that no corrective action is required.
