l SEPTEMBER 18, 1980 WORKING MEETING AT NRC CONCERNING HOT SHUTDOWN PANEL INSTRUMENTATION MODIFICATIONS 1.
Instrument loops for Steam Line Pressure (PI474A, 485A, 496A) that were initially routed to the HSD panel through the Control Room have been replaced ny instrument loops (PI3371 A, B, C) which are routed to the HSD panel so that they are electrically independent from the cable spreading room and the control room. Redundant 1
instrument loops (PI474, 475, 476, 484, 485, 486, 494, 495, 496) are provided in the Control Room for Steam Line Pressure Display which are electrically independent from the HSD panel area and from instrument loops (PI3371A, B, C).
2.
Pressurizer instrument loops (LI-459C, PT-444C) which were initialiy routed to the HSD panel through the Control Room have been replacad by dedicated instrument loops (LT-459Z, PT-444Z) which are routed to the HSD panel so that they are electrically independent from the cable spreading room and the control room. The redundant pressurher instru-ment loops (LI-459C, PT-444C) which are provided for Control Room display are electrically independent from the HSD panel area and from instrument loops (LT-459Z, PT-444Z).
3.
Steam Generator wide range water level instrument loops which were initially routed through the Control Room to the HSD panel have been routed to the HSD panel for indication first, and then an electri-cally isolated output signal is provided to the NSSS process cabinets for control room display (LT-477, 487, 497).
Redundaret Steam Generator narrow range water level instrument loops (LI474, 475, 476, 484, 485, 486,494,495,496) are provided for Control Room display which are i
electrically independent from the HSD panel area and from inst'ument loops (LI477, 487, 497).
4.
Charging Line Flow instrument loop (FI-122) is not needed to maintain Hot Shutdown or to go to Cold Shutdown.
5.
Reactor Coolant System wide range temperature (hot leg) instrument loop (TE-413) has been routed to the HSD panel for indication first, and then an electrically isolated output signal is provided to the NSSS Process Cabinets. Redundant instrument loops (TE411B, 412A & B) are provided for Control Room display which are electrically independent from the HSD panel area and from instrument loop (TE413).
