Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 Lessons Learned Technical Specifications (File: 15 10.2, 2-15 10.2)
Gentlemen:
Your letter dated July 2,1980, requested Technical Specification (T.S.)
cha1ges which should be submitted in order to assure implementation of NUREG-0578 Category "A" items.
Because the required NUREG-0578 Category "A" items have been implemented at ANO and the associated administrative controls have been established, the principle objectives of the requirements have been met. Additionally, the model Technical Specifications given in Enclosure 1 of your letter are not directly applicable for AN0-1 because the AN(7-1 T.S. are not written in the standardized format. As a result, the Model T.S. must be entirely re-written in order to accomodate the format of the existing ANO-1 T.S. and the design of the unit, plus the Category "A" modifications.
Therefore, we feel that a deadline extension is appropriate in this situation and have established December 1,1980, as our target date for submittal.
Please notify us if you feel this date is not accept-able. We have previously mentioned this delay to Mr. G. Vissing of your staff.
