Dear Mr. Grier:
This is in response to your letter of May 9, 1980, which forwarded IE Bulletin 80-11, "Masonr y Wall Design".
Our letter dated July 2, 1980, contained responses to items 1,
2a, and 3 of the Bulletin and our letter dated November 3, 1980, contained an interim response to item 2b of the Bulletin.
Attached is our complete report on the re-evaluation of I
concrete mesonry walls at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station as I
required by the Bulletin.
This report includes the information submitted in our first two responses with modifications made where appropriate.
Fo ur walls were identified during this re-evaluation which did not fully meet the requirements of the re-evaluation l
criteria.
Recommended modifications have been completed on the two walls asociated with Unit 2 and will be completed on the Unit 3 walls during the current refueling outage.

Mr. Bo yce H. Grier Page 2 In addition, Bechtel Power Corporation has recommended door modifications in the vicinity of two walls and installation of vents in two other walls.
We are presently reviewing these recommendations and will make appropriate modifications, if necessary.
