Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
5 of Omaha Public Power District's letter dated January 30, 1981, provided the District's schedule #3r environmental qualification of new instrumentation to be added in response tc TMI Lessons Learned.
The District's letter indicated that qualification information for containment high radiation monitors would be available by March 30, 1981. However, this information will not be availatie until June 1, 1981, for the reasons detailed below.
Since virtually all of tFe equipment was undergoug testing at the time of tne District's letter, a best estimate was made as to when this information could be transmitted to the Commission. Although some of the equipment has been shipped by Victoreen, the qualification testing is not yet complete.
The latest information from the manufacturer indicates that testing will be completed by March 28, 1981, and provided to the District by April 18, 1981.
After receipt of the qualification l
documentation, the District must review it for acceptability and in-corporate the qualification information into the IE Bulletin 79-01B forrrat. Therefore, the District will submit to the Commission the qualification documentation on the containment high radiation monitors by June 1, 1981.
