Your letter dated April 3, 1975 transmitted IE Bulletins

75-0h and 75-OhA requesting a review of construction, maintenance or modification vork in our facilities in light of the fire that occurred recent]y at the Browns Ferry site. In addition, the bulletins re-quested a schedule for completion of the reviews.

The reviews are in progress at both the Big' Rock Point and Palisades Plants. As the review scope outline in the bulletin is very comprehensive, we have not yet completed these reviews. We are at-tempting to complete these reviews by May 23, 1975 and, whether completed or not, we vill provide a further report on that date.

We have four (1 ) ASCO valves, Model HTX8300-C-61-RF, la.

in service in safety-related systems as defined by the Big Rock Point Plant Q-List.
Ib.
There are no Model 8302-C ASCO valves in use at Big Rock Point.
2.
As a result of failures of ASCO, Model 8300-C-61-RF valves during 1972 and 1973, an extensive invest!gation and test pro-gram was conducted at Big Rock Point by plant and ASCO Valve personnel.
This resulted in the replacement (in March 1973) of all 8300-C-61-RF valves with the redesigned HTX8300-C-61-RF valves. Our experience with these valves has been perfect to date.
No hits for the 8300-C-61-RF were ever stocked. All 8300-C-61-RF valves have been returned to the manufacturer.
