Consumers Power Cc=pany has received reports for one inspection perfors;d at each facility since March 22, 1975 Copies of these reports for the Big Rock Point and Palisades Plants are attached. In addition, ve have annotated in the " status" colu=n of the portion of the report titled " Log of Current Recocsendations" a description of actions taken or planned with respect to the individual reco==endations. A separate copy of each of the

This report contains only those items peratining to changes in conditions such as housekeeping. The areas concerning administrative control and areas concerning design and' construction of the permanent plant are contained in the Original Report (as. revised).
CENERAL:
The new Guard House Buil' ding, located at the fence line, east of the Office Building has been provided and is essentially a 12'x.20' metal clad combustible trailer.

l FIRE PROTECTION:
The 1,000 GPM @ 110 PSIC electric motor driven and diesel engine driven fire pumps were satisfactorily capacity tested at this inspection.
Two inch drain and alarm tests were conducted at this inspection with satisfact-ory results.

An exit interview was held with Mr. C. Hartmann, Plant Superintendent and all recommendations were reviewed at this time.

Robinson DATE INSPECTED: May 7-8, 1975 This report utilizes the Original Report of Nove=ber 14th and November 16th 1972 (revised December 17, 1973), June 17-18, 1974 and May 7-8, 1975 as the basic reference report. This report contains only those items pertaining to changes in conditions such as housekeeping. The areas concerning administra-tive control and areas concerning design and construction of the permanent plant are contained in the Original Report (as revised).
CENERAL:
This plant is now on line with the present output being 500 MW.
The temporary building, housing the Electric and Pipe Warehouse, located at the northwest portion of the plant has been razed.
The Turbine Building structural framing is being reinforced to a 185 ton loading capacity.
The plant security system is being up-graded; the addition of fence vibration alarms and magentic door entry cards.
An exit interview was held with Mr. J. Lewis, Plant Superintendent with all recommendations discussed.
FIRE PROTECTION:
Two inch drain and water flow alarm tests were performed satisfactorily at this inspection.

, Satisfactory water flow tests were conducted at Cooling Tower No. 2 with the following results:
Loop Test - Static 154 psig, Residual 122 psig, Flowing 1445 gpm.

Fire protection equipment inspection and testing records were reviewed and found to be complete.
A copy of the written Fire Brigade Training Procedures was not available for review at this inspection.
REMARKS Shall Reco=cendation No. 2, referring to the implementation of the Welding and Cutting Procedures, has been complied with and has been removed from this report.
Maintenance and housekeeping Recommendations Nos.1, 2, 3, and 4 have been complied with and have been removed from this report.
RECOMMENDATIONS The following recoc=endations are listed for consideration in accordance with NML standards.

(Revised May 7, 1975). The new diesel driven fire pump (presently rated at 1500 gpm at 140 psig, based on the existing pump performance curve) should be provided with a name plate from the pump manufacturer as to its rated I
capacity and head with adequate substantiation, so that the pump may be rejected or possibly accepted in light of new conclusive evidence.
(The pump has been tested on several occasions and is presently not acceptable to NN1.)

Provide the inspector's test connection and water flow alarm for the Storeroom automatic sprinkler system.
