Request for Additional Information for the Review of the Callaway Plant Unit 1 As a result of our continuing review of t.1e Callaway Plant, Unit 1 FSAR, we find that we need additional information to complete our evaluation. The specific infonnation required is in the area related +o the site and is presented in the Enclosure.

To maintain our licensing review sr.nedule for the Callaway Plant FSAR, we will need responses to the enclosed request by March 15, 1981.

If you canntt meet this date, please infonn us within seven days after receipt of this letter of the date you plan to submit your responses so that we may review our schedule for any necessary changes.

REQUEST FOR ADDITION INF0kMATION CALLAWAY PLANT FSAR DOCKET N0. 50-483 311,0 Siting Analysis 31'. 1 Your response to FSAR question 310.2 discusses land use (as does (2.1) Sections 2.1.1.2 and 2.1.3.3.4 of the ER) and indicated that land on the site not directly creempted for power production process is being made available for various levels of public use or development including research. Please provide a more explicit list of activities contemplated and those activities which will be excluded.

31. 2 Section 2.1.1.2.1.3 (Page 2.1-4 to 2.1-6) indentifies tracts of land (2.1.2) within the plant corridor area that are not owned. Please clearly indicate these on Figure 2.1-2.

Please correct first paragraph on page 2.1-6 which states:

"1 1/2 acres being one acre wide...".

31'.3 Section 2.1.3.3, page 2.1-10 (ar.d ER Section 2.1.2.3, Page 2.1-6)

(2.1.3) states "Last Canyon takes is a recreational vehicle and trailer park development approximately 2.2 miles north of the site. The develop-ment has approximately 800 sites currently in use, and its developers hope to sell an additional 500 to 600 sites by September 1980. No permanent residential structures are allowed within Last Canyon Lakes.
