Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 125V DC System Equipment Qualification In response to our telephone conversation of November 20, 1980 relative to the above and our letter of April 4,1978, the following is provided.
Type testing of a representative battery is in progress and it is anticipated that JCP6L will have the results by June, 1981. The battery racks have been qualified in accordance with the referenced codes and standards.
Qualified IE breakers for the battery static chargers are unavailable. JCPSL is presently in the process of procuring acceptable breakers and anticipates having them on site by June, 1981.
Installation of the breakers is projected for the 1981 refueling outage.
The timing relay for MCC DC-2 failed its qualification test. A different type of timing relay is being procurred. The new timing relay is expected to be on site by March, 1981 and installed during the 1981 refueling outage.
