In recent conversations between our Mr. P. R. Beament and your Mr. D. M. Rohrer of our respective emergency preparedness staffs it was felt that clarification is needed concerning the status of the North Anna Emergency Plan.
It is the Company's position that the regulatory requirements have been met based upon our submittal of a revised North Anna Emergency Plan on April 19, 1980, the subsequent amendments to this revision prior to the issuance of an operating license for North Anna Unit #2, and the letter from your Mr. R. L. Tedesco received by us on July 22, 1980.
We are now preparing an amendment to the North Anna Emergency Plan based upon (1) the Revision-1 to NUREG 0654 and (2) changes to the plan that may be required as a result of the comments recently received by the State Office of Energency and Energy Services to their State and Local County Emergency Plans from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
It is our intention to submit the amendment to the current North Anna Emergency Plan at approximately the same time the State Office of Emergency and Energy Services completes the amendments to their plans in order to maintain compatability between State, County and North Anna Power Station emergency plans.
