SUMMARY

OF DECEMBER 11, 1980 MEETING ON REVISED OCNGS OPERATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN Introduction The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff met with Jersey Central Power and Light Company (JCP&L) Quality Assurance (QA) personnel on December 11, 1980 in Bethesda, Maryland. The meeting was requested by the NRC QA Branch to discuss the QA Program during the operations phase of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (OCNGS). A list of attendees is showr, in Enclosure 1.

Discussion Discussion related to the QA Branch review of the OCNGS operational quality assurance plan. A request for additional information has been sent to JCP&L by letter dated August 14, 1979. An earlier meeting had been held on August 27, 1979 to clarify NRC requirements for the Operational QA Plan. A formal response to the questions had been delayed because of organization changes of the licensee (formation of the GPU Nuclear Group) and activities required on items of higher priority. The licensee's response dated December 5,1980 was reviewed item by item during the meeting, and a resubmittal will be made. The GPU Nuclear Group organi-zation, as it relates to the OCNGS Operational QA Plan was also discussed.
