The filing by Carolina Power & Light Coap.iny (tl.e licensee) dated August 1,1980, conplies with the standards and requireaicats of the Atoinic Energy Act of 1954, as anended (the Act). and the Comaission's rules and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Cha,,ter 1; B.
The facility will operate in conforiaity with the filing, the provisions of the Act, and the roles and regulations of the

C.
There is reasonable assurance (i) that the activitic's authorized by this anendaunt can be ccriducted without end<:ngerito; the bailtii and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will se i
conducted in conpliance with the Cc aaission's regulations; D.

Accordingly, Facility Operating License No. OPR-71 is hereby avended as follows:
(1) Renumber paragraph 2.0 as 2.D.(1) i (2) Add paragraph 2.0.(2) to read as follows:
2.0.(2) Contingency Plan The licensee shall fully inglement and naintain in effect all provisions of the Cocinission-approved Safeguards Contingency Plan, including anendxnts and changes uade l

. pursuant to the authority of 10 CFR 50.54(p). The approved Contingency Plan consists of documents with-held from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d) identified as Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Safeguards Contingency Plan dated August 1,1980, submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 73.40.
The Contingency Plan shall be fully implemented, in accordance with 10 CFR 73.40(b), within 30 days of this approval by the Commission.
3.
This license amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
