This is to confim the information obtained by telephone conversation between your Mr. Larry Brey and Mr. James A. F. Kelly, of my staff, on November 7, 1980.
The conversation was concerned with the QA program as it affects the security program at Fort St. Vrain.
Specifically, we understand that (1) the Fort St. Vrain QA staff will rewrite Chapter 14 of the Fort St. Vrain amended Security Plan of October 31, 1977, effective February 24, 1979; (2) the rewrite will be postmarked and submitted as a 10 CFR 50.S4(p) change ninety (90) days from November 7,1980; (3) the rewrite will provide for the performance of a QA audit of the Security Program at least once every 12 months, plus or minus 25 percent; and (4) the QA Department shall perfonn a Security Program QA audit prior to the end of Calendar Year 1980.
If your understanding of this matter is inconsistent with the above, please contact this office immediately.
