The U. S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 36 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-72, issued to the Florida Power Corporation, City of Alachua, City of

Bushnell, City of Gainesville, City of Kissimee, City of Leesburg, City of New Sntyrns Beach and Utilities Comission, City of New Sntyrna Beach, City of Ocala, Orlando Utilities Comission and City of Orlando, Sebring Utilities Comission, Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc,, and the City of Tallahassee (the licensees) which revised the Technical Specifications for operation for t.he Crystal River Unit No.
3 Nuclear Generating Plant (the facility) located in Citrus County,
- Florida, The anendment is effective as of the date of i,suance.
The amendment revises the Technical Specifications '.o authorize an increase in the capacity of the spent fuel storage pools at the facility.
The application for the amendment complies witn the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.
The Conmission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set.forth in the license amendment.
Notice of Proposed Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License in connec-tion with this action was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on June 15, 8012080 I[
i 7590-01 1978 (43 FR 25885). No request for a hearing or petition for leave to intervene was filed following notice of the proposed action.
The Commission has prepared an Environmental Impact. Appraisal for this action and has concluded that an environmental impact statement for this particular action is not warranted because there will be no signifi-cant environmental impact attributable to the action other than that which has already been predicted and described in the Commission's Final Environmental Statement for the facility dated fiay 1973.
For further details with respect to this action, see (1) the applica-tion for amendment dated liarch 17, 1978, as supplemented, (2) Amendment No. 36 to License No. DPR-72, (3) the Commission's related Safety Evalua-I tion and (4) the Commission's Environmental Impact Appraisal. All of these.
