SUBJECT:
NRC REVIEW SCHEDULAR REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL LOW POWER TEST PROGRAM AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES To accomplish timely review of your application, it.is necessary that the following schedular requirements be met. These requirements specifically relate to NRC review of your Special. Low Power Test Program and Emergency 1
Procedures for selected transients and accidents. The following lead times must be met if our evaluations are to be completed on a schedule consistent.
with your schedule for performing tests and proceeding with the power ascension procram above 5% of full power.
1.
Procedures for conducting the Special Low Power Test Program must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to authorization to perform the test.
2.
Revised emergency procedures prepared in accordance with staff coments must be submitted at'least seven wecks prior to completing our review; procedures walk-throughs in your control room must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to issuance of a full pow 3r operating license.
3.
The results of the Special Low Power Test Program must be submitted for NRC review 2 weeks prior to proceeding above 5% of full power.
Implicit in the above requirements is the assumption that NRC requi sts for any additional information on the above matters will be answered it 1 -
1 1/2 weeks.
