j The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) hereby requests an amendment to its special nuclear material (SNM) license, SNM-1526, dated June 2,1975, and the supplement thereto dated March 18, 1980.
j We request item 8 of SNM-1526 be amended to allow the maximum amount that licensees may possess at any one time under this license be changed to read, "Up to 10,000 grams of U-235, enriched to less than 10 percent in the U-235 isotope."
The purpose of this amendment is to relieve TVA of the requirement of 10 CFR Part 73, to submit an in-transit physical security plan as stated in condition 10 of SNM-1526.
