Dear Sir:
Pursuant to Section 50-59 of the Commission's Regulations, the Yankee Atomic Electric Company hereby requests authorization to make the following change:
PROPOSED CHA!;GE:
In accordance with paragraph A of Appendix A to the.
reference license, Yankee requests permission to sell to Franklin County in the State of Massachusetts a small parcel of land (0.54 acres) bisected by an existing traveled way and a brook. The location ic approximately 2500 feet fron the Yankee plant, and is located within the Exclusion Area of the plant.
PEASO!I FOR CHA!;GE: The Franklin County Commissioners have held a public hearing concerning the widening of the present traveled way to eliminate a sharp curve. The parcel of land will be graded to provide a new road-bed for the traveled way.
SAFETY CO!!SIDERATIOtIS The Yankee I;uclear Power Station Emergency Plan has been reviewed to determine the effect of this sale. The road barrier posts for the Skeeter Hill road block location will have to be moved approximately 75 feet folleging relocation of the road. The proposed change does not present a hazard consideration not described or implicit in the license application as amended and does not affect the accident analysis set forth in the license.
This proposed change has been reviewed by the liuclear Safety Audit and Review Coraittee.
