USAEC Change No. 106 dated March 30, 1973.

Dear Sir:

This letter is written to provide you with the results of our data evaluation relative to the control rod surveillance program conducted during Core X operation and to outline the control rod surveillence program for Core XI and all future cores.

In Proposed Change No. 106 dated February 5, 1973 a preoperational and operational inspection and surveillance program for Core X was out-lin d, approved by the AEC and adhered to (which included forwarding all the data to the AEC).

The data from this program has been reviewed in detail.

No unusual or abnormal conditions were noted.

During the recent Core X - X1 refueling outage, inspections of the low:r shroud (including the bolting) were conducted utilizing underwater television and binoculars.

No unusual or abnormal conditions were observed.

Prior to the startup of Core II the following preoperational control red surveillance program was successfully completed.
