Dear Mr. Giambusso:
On January 3,1974, Yankee Atomic Electric Company (Yankee) submitted Proposed Change No. 112 to the USAEC Directorate of Licensing. This change provided the AEC with the Yankee Rowe plant Technical Specifications rewritten in a format as outlined in a guide entitled " Standard Format and Content of Safety Analyses Reports for Nuclear Power Plants".
To aid in the review and approval of this change Yankee also included the " Hazards Summary Report" rewritten in " Final Safety Analyses Report" format.
This letter is written to request that a program be established to expedite the review of this proposed change. Approval of the change would substantially assist both the plant staff and the AEC in providing the necessary guidelines to prevent difficulties currently encountered with the present Technical Specifications and Hazards Summary Report.
We trust you will provide Yankee a program of review for this change; however, should you desire additional information feel free to contact us.
