With reference to the reporting requirements stated in our letter dated August 7, 1972, Yankee Atomic Electric Company hereby submits the control rod drop times measured on September 30, 1972.

1.
Control rod No. 9 dropped into the core with a drop time of 2.28 seconds, balow the maximum drop time limit of 2.40 seconds.
However, the measured drop time increased by more than 0.3 seconds when compared with the highest drop times measured during the 3 consecutive drop tests at the startup of Core X.
2.
Control rod No. 19 dropped into the core with a drop time of
