Dear Sirs:

This supplemental information is being submitted to aid in your re-view and approval of Proposed Change No. 103. The Quality Assurance Pro-gram relative to this modification r: all be as follows:

A.

Plugs:

1.

The tapered plugs are ASTM 276 Type 304 stainless steel with material certification.

2.

The installation and welding shall be conducted in accor-dance with written approved procedures.

3.

The velding shall be done by welders qualified to Section IX of the ASME Codes 4.

All welds shall be Nondestructive tested (Dye penetrant).

3.

Secondary Seal The existing Seal Cap will be used and the top opening of the ex-isting cap shall be capped with a new stainless steel cap.

l.

The pipe cap shall be of 304 stainless steel with a material certification.

2.

The installation and welding shall be conducted in accordance with written approved procedures.

3.

The welding shall be done by welders qualified to Section IX of the ASME Codes.

4.

All welds shall be Nondestructive Tested (Dye Penetrant).

Upon completion of the modification and prior to criticality the entire modification shall be hydro tested at 2200 psi in accordance with written ap-proved procedure and visually examined for leakage.
