This refers to your request dated September 1,1966, for AEC authori-yh zation of Proposed Change No. 74 in the Technical Specifications of M
l Facility License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee reactor pursuant to the pro-visions of 10 CFR 50 59 The proposed change would authorize the fuel j
loading configuration of Core VI, and operation of the Yankee reactor with boron concentrations up to 1700 ppm above 15161e.
We have reviewed the proposed change and have found that it does not present significant bazards considerations not described or implicit in the bazards summary report, ani that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered. A copy of our related safety evaluation is enclosed.
In view of the foregoing, pursuant to Section 50 59, 10 CFR 50, Change No. 14 is bereby authorized as proposed.
