Dear Mr. Denton:
Mr. Robert L. Tedesco's let wr of August 25, 1980 transmitted interim require-ments for anticipated transienes without scram (ATWS) which must be implemented prior'to issuance of an ope ating license. These same basic requirements were previously transmitted to Duke Power in a letter from Mr. Steven A. Varga dated August 17, 1979 to which we responded in a letter dated September 25, 1979.
Please refer to this previous response since it reflects our current intentions regarding interim ATVS procedures.
