This refers to-the routine inspection conducted by Mr. W. A. Rekito of this

-office on June 30, 1980 to July'3, 1980 at Peach 30ttom Atomic Power Station,

. Units 9 and 3. Delta, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by NRC License Nos.

DPR-44 and DPR-56 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Rekito with

~Mr. W. T. Ullrich of your. staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined.during this inspection are describedzin the Office of Inspection

and. Enforcement' Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. _Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the

inspector.

Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the items of

noncompliance brought to your attention in letters dated September 1, 1977,

April 3,1978,cand December. 5. ~1979. . We have no further' questions regarding the

~

steps you'took to correct Items B and C of the September 1, 1977 letter, and

-

each item of.the April 3, 1978, and December 5,'1979 letters.

With regard to

' Item A of. the September 1,1977 letter, insufficient information was available,

.during the inspection,- to verify _that this item was fully ' corrected.

'

Within the scope' of this insp.ection, .no items of noncompliance were observed.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title-

~10,; Code of Federal-Regulations, a copy of'this letter and -the enclosed inspection

report will'be placed in the NRC's Public Document _ Room.

If~this report contains

-any information that you (or your contractor) believe to be proprietary, it is

'necessary that you_make a written application within 20 days to this office to

? withhold such information from'public disclosure.. Any such application must be
