Report for LER 50-366/1980-119 l

On 8-5-80',

with Unit I reactor mode switch in startup and hot l

standby and at ' 20 MWT and Unit 2 at 774 MUE and 2406 MWT, personnel from the-Quality Assurance department were performing- -audit surveillance of plant housekeeping and operations.

During this surveillance a

The penetration extended through the floo,r - of the control room into the cable spread room and contained temporary cabling which had been used du r ing " s't ar t up testing of Unit 2.

One of the-temporary cables had been

- removed-from the penetration without-the penetration being rescaled.

This. is a repetitive occurrence with the last event occurring on 11-6-79, and reported on LER # 50-321/1979-091.

There were no effects on public health'or safety due to this event.,

Correc tive - ac tion consisted of establishing a continuous fire

- watch per, Tech -Specs sections 3.13.6.a and 3.7.7.a and a

maintenance request was issued for repair of the seal.

Repairs

- were successfully completed on 8-20-80, i
