Dear Mr. Arnold:
We have reviewed your actions to correct the Intergranular Stress Corrosion Pipe Cracks (IGSCC) at the Three Mile Island Unit No. 1.
Our review <as based on information furnished by your letters dated August 15,1979 (GQL 1059), Septercer 5, 1979 (GQL lial), October 19, 1979 (GQL 1310), January 4, 1980 and March 31,1980 (TLL 136) concerned with cracks located in pipes containing borated water. The infornation was concerned with your non-des-tructive inspection, weld repair and the surveillance program, to assure the adequacy of the pipe systens.
We find that your actions to correct the IGSCC are acceptable and this task is considered conclete.
You have comitced to submit a fir.ai report des-cribing your corrective action program in its entirety.
A co?y of our Safety Evaluation Report is enclosed.
