Dear Mr. Reid:
Under separate cover, we are transmitting three (3) original and forty (40) conformed copies of an application for Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 (DB-1).
This application requests a modification to Technical Specification Table 3.6-2 of Specification 3.6.3-1 on Containment Isolation Vnives. Please note that issuance of this amendment is a restraint for startup of DB-1.
Therefore, we request that the same be issued as soon as possible and no later than August 29, 1980.
This amendment request invclves one change of Class III type.
Enclosed is a check for S4,000.00 as required by 10CFR170.
