Clinton Power Station I' nit 1 Docket 50-461 Construction Permit CPPR-137 This letter amplifies and modifies Illinois Power Company's letter of July 28, 1980, which reported a deficiency under the provisions of 10CFR50.55 (e), concerning deficient welds on con-

tainment spray piping (RHR) hangers.
The statement in paragraph two of the Corrective Action section of the letter, "The additional defective welds found during this reinspection were repaired. ", is in error.
Prepara-tions for this work are still in progress, and repairs have not yet been completed.
This error was made during the process of transcribing the origir.al draft of the report (which said, "will be repaired")
into tne final version.
It was a simple,. inadvertent mistake.
l Since adequate corrective action has been taken and reoairs will be made in accordance with approved procedures, no further I
investigation or action, beyond verification of repairs, will be performed.
