Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
Clinton Power Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-461 and 50-462 Construction Permits No. CPPR-137 & CPPR-138 This is in response to your letter of July 11, 1980, request-ing our present best estimate of the construction completion date and fuel load target date for the Clinton Power Station.
The scheduled completion and fuel loading for Unit 1 is April 1, 1982 with commercial operation scheduled for December 1, 1982.
The scheduled completion of Unit 2 has been deferred because the earliest projected requirement for additional generating capacity on the Illinois Power Company system is now estimated to be 1991.
The operating license application, including FSAR and Environmental Report-Operating License Stage, was tendered to the NRC for acceptance review on December 1, 1979.
We understand that the Clinton application will be docketed in the very near future.
