Dear Mr. Merritt:

At the prehearing conference concerning the oper-ating license proceedings for the Midland Plant held on December 14, 1978, the question arose as to whether your client, Wendell H. Marshall, wishes to receive a copy of Consumers Power Company's Environmental Report and Final Safety Analysis. Report. You indicated that you wanted to consult with Mr. Marshall before making that decision.

For.your information, I would like to point out that the Environmental-Report consists of three volumes and the Final Safety Analysis Report includes approximately 24 volumes. .Should you decide that ycu want either or both of these reports please let me know, indicating whether you or Mr. Marshall should be the recipient, and I will see that ~

the material is'sent promptly.
