William O. Miller, Chief License Fee Management Branch ADM FROM:
C. James Holloway, Jr., Asst. Chief. License Fee Management Branch, ADM
SUBJECT:
REVISED COST FOR SEQUOYAH 1 OPERATING LICENSE REVIEW This will revise my January 30,1981 memorandum (Enclosure 1) to the files which showed the Commission's costs of processing the operating license for i
Sequoyah 1.
By memorandum dated March 4,1981 (Enclosure 2). Herbert N. Berkow.
NRR, notified LFPS that the NRR professional manpower (47,438 hours0.00507 days
0.122 hours
7.242063e-4 weeks
1.66659e-4 months
) previously reported for the review by his memorandum date1 January 22, 1981 (Enclosure 3) snould be revised downward to 39,331 staff hours. The reduction of 8,107 staff hours decreases the total actual review cost for Sequoyah 1 from $2,956,013 to
$2.639,840, a difference of $316,173 (see sununary of review costs. Enclosure 4).
Since the cost of the review still exceeds the maximum fee of $1,024,500 prescribed by regulation unich was paid for the custom review of an initial unit at a site, no additional operating license fee is required for review of Sequoyah 1.
