On February 29, 1980, the Commission issued Operating License DPR-77 (partial power) for the "aquoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1.

On September 17, 1980 the license was amended to authorize full power (100%) operation. As required by 10 CFR 170.21, an operating license fee of $1,024,500 was paid for the issuance of the operating license.
