Report on Inspection No. 70-398/80-04 Gentlemen:

In response to your letter of October 24, 1980, concerning the item of noncompliance reported for Inspection No. 70-398/80-04, the following reply is offered:

(1)

Staff of the Health Physics group and the person offering the item for shipment, in the case cited, have met and discussed procedures to be followed, including the selection of proper data for documenting shipments of radio-active materials.

(2) Health Physics staff members have been instructed to confirm data entries for radioactive materials shipments documentation.

(3)

Full compliance has now been achieved.
